What is Polymer Clay?
Polymer clay is a wonderful non-toxic material that is used by artists and hobbyists alike. It's a man-made alternative to natural clay that allows for a whole realm of creative possibilities. Like natural clay, it is formed while soft, and hardened in a curing process under heat.
The beauty of polymer clay jewelry is that it is extremely lightweight! Most of my earrings weigh around a quarter of an ounce (under 8 grams!), and even large, 4" long pieces are just barely double that. It makes for effortlessly easy all-day wear.

How often do you update your shop?
I am constantly working on new pieces and drop brand new collections every 6 to 8 weeks. Every new drop involves limited edition designs in new shapes and colors. Some designs may have multiples, and some maybe truly be one-of-a-kind with only one made.
Sometimes I will add a new style or two to an already launched collection, so if you want to be kept in the loop follow me over on Instagram where I share more of what's in store, and how things are made!
In addition to my limited edition collections, I have a small and growing collection of signature pieces that consistently get restocked.

How do I care for my purchase?
Just like any other piece of jewelry, please take care of your pieces. While made of strong, durable materials, they may still break under too much pressure.
Please keep polymer clay away from heat and very high-temperatures (e.g. don't keep them right by a radiator), and store properly to avoid tarnishing or excessive contact with the elements.
Avoid contact with make-up, lotions and hair and beauty products. If they do come into contact, simply wipe clean.
Every purchase comes with a jewelry cloth that you can wipe your piece down and maintain the shine of the metal findings.

What is the processing time of my order?
Please allow processing time of up to 2-3 business days once your order is placed. For made-to-order items, this can be 10-14 business days. Custom orders are designed and made on a schedule we both agree upon.
How do you ship?
All orders bound for the USA ship free with USPS first class!
I ship USPS (unless you specify otherwise) and provide tracking when your order is marked as shipped. Please keep in mind that once your order is dropped off with USPS or any other shipper you select, it is out of my hands. I take every care to package your piece but things can happen. I cannot offer refunds or exchanges if your item arrives late, so please plan accordingly if you have deadlines, especially during these times of uncertainty.
What is your Refund/Exchange policy?
Returns for earrings with maker-made defects or damages are accepted within 14 days of purchase. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so I can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Please keep in mind that each and every piece is hand-made. There will be small adjustments and differences from piece to piece, its simply a nature of its artist-made quality. I do my best to present an accurate idea of what to expect in my photos and descriptions.
To start a return, please reach out to shop@bychavelli.com. If your return is accepted, you'll receive a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
